Description

The Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation is currently accepting applications for a Development Officer. The Development Officer will play an integral role in advancing the organization and achieving its’ mission and vision to meet the financial challenges for quality health care.

The Development Officer will be responsible for the coordination of all Foundation activities in a health care environment with a high regard to timeliness, detail and risk management. Reporting to the Foundation Board of Directors, the Development Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to: the management of Foundation activities, ensuring the successful organization of hospital events, securing sponsorship funds, implementing fundraising strategies, and acting as an ambassador for the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.

This is an opportunity for an energetic individual who is extremely personable, well organized, has a brilliant attention to detail, possess a can-do attitude, works well under pressure and is able to communicate effectively with clients.

Qualifications

You have:

5 years of fundraising and administration experience in not-for-profit organization

Excellent communication skills, especially oral presentation and print communication requiring consistent writing and design.       

Demonstrated ability to build relationship with staff, hospital staff, volunteers, organizers of third party events and vendors, and other relevant stakeholders

Solid knowledge of CRA charity law especially regarding when to produce an official tax receipt; accounting practice

 Ability to work independently to manage multiple priorities simultaneously through demonstrated organizational and administrative skills  

Self-motivation and reliability with  demonstrated ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines 

An exceptional level of professionalism, knowledge, leadership and independent decision making 

Skills to advocate and support the culture of rural community and demonstrates an understanding of how the Foundation contributes to overall patient safety

Adaptability and flexibility

Ability to maintain and work with confidential information
